What Is Lifestyle Medicine, why is it so important to understand its principles and why does the team at Turra Physio Therapy follow those when assessing and treating all of our patients.


Lifestyle Medicine describes how health and well-being can be enhanced with daily habits and health practices (including the six pillars: see link below) that include healthy eating, which is plant-predominant and free of ultra processing, adequate physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, maintaining positive social connections, and avoiding harmful substances.


Lifestyle Medicine (LM) is an allopathic evidence-based medical discipline that treats, prevents, and reverses chronic disease using mainly these six pillars to create positive health results.


The Team at Turra Physio recognises the importance of reviewing all these elements when assessing and treating our clients, and as part of our long term care we address these where we can and if needed refer to our colleagues to help a person enhance their wellbeing.
