Enhanced Treatments Sessions

A treatment plan using the Enhanced Treatment technologies at Turra Physio, would be advised according to the findings of your Initial Assessment with Ross.

Sometimes these Enhanced Healing modalities are used independently, but more frequently, they are used in combination to treat the symptoms of multi-faceted problems. This is precisely why Turra Physio have invested in these non-invasive, enhanced healing technologies; to provide comprehensive, scientifically evidence based, effective treatments for acute injuries and chronic pathologies.

Quotes for treatment costs are provided with potential schedules of treatment according to the most effective course of care that can be provided at Turra Physio, post your Initial Assessment.

Enhanced Treatment: High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT)

30 minutes £75

Enhanced Treatment: Radial Shockwave (RSW)

45 minutes £90

Sessions for RSWT are scheduled for 45-minutes for one treatment area. Appropriate Physiotherapy advice, treatment, rehab programmes, are included within the session.

Additional areas requiring RSWT are charged an additional £15 and may require an additional 10-15 minutes onto the appointment.

A person receiving focused shockwave therapy treatment on their wrist. The person is lying down, and the technician is wearing black gloves and holding the device.

Enhanced Treatment: Focused Shockwave (FSW)

30 minutes £120

45 minutes £140

More time and shockwave “hits” are required for larger treatment areas. A small area of treatment e.g. a thumb (carpo-metacarpal joint) or tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) may require a 30-minute session. A larger treatment area e.g. a knee joint, several facet joints, a disc bulge, or a hamstring tendinosis will require more FSW “hits” and treatment time and would be booked for a 45-minute session.

Additional areas that require FSWT will be charged at £25 and add on another 15 minutes to the appointment time for each extra area e.g. Bilateral carpal tunnel treatments would be £145 (£120 + £25) and be scheduled for a 45-minute appointment.

Appropriate Physiotherapy advice and treatment are included in the session.

Electromagnetic Transduction Therapy (EMTT )

30 minutes £90

An EMTT treatment session, treating a single area, is scheduled in a 30-minute appointment slot.

Treatment of additional areas with EMTT costs either £15 or £25. The difference in the additional charge is relative to the amount of energy that is required to treat that additional area, and the time that it takes for the energy to be delivered.
